Being honest about the gap, first
Chhattisgarh has among the thinnest availability of documented pediatric specialty care in India, and Raipur - as the state capital - is often where families from across the state end up searching, usually without much success, for a pediatric occupational therapist. If you're a parent in Raipur reading this because you've already looked locally and come up short, we want to start by acknowledging that plainly, rather than jumping straight into a sales pitch. This is a genuine access gap, not a manufactured one, and it deserves a straight answer about what online consultation can and can't do about it.
What online occupational therapy can actually offer
Online consultation puts a pediatric occupational therapist's assessment and guidance within reach without your family needing to take a search all the way to Mumbai, Hyderabad, or Delhi. Over video call, Dr. Charu Arora can assess your child's motor skills, sensory responses, attention and self-regulation, and daily-living challenges, and build a structured plan you carry out at home between sessions, with the parent actively guided through each activity. Online consultation is a recognised, professionally supported way of delivering this kind of therapy - not a lesser substitute invented to work around a gap, but a genuine model used in pediatric OT internationally.
What it doesn't replace
We'd rather tell you this directly than let you assume otherwise: certain physical, hands-on assessments genuinely need an in-person setting, and if your child's situation calls for that, we'll say so rather than push forward with an online-only plan regardless. For the large majority of the concerns parents bring us - attention and regulation, sensory sensitivities, motor coordination, handwriting, daily routines, school participation, play and social skills - a thorough online assessment and ongoing online sessions are genuinely workable. You can read more about how the format actually works on our how online occupational therapy consultation works page.
There's no pressure to decide anything on the first call. If, after talking it through, online consultation doesn't feel like the right fit for your family, we'd rather tell you that plainly than sign you up regardless. The first session is also the easiest way to judge this for yourself - you'll get a real sense of how it works before committing to an ongoing plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our internet connection isn't always reliable. Is online therapy realistic for us?
It needs to be reasonably stable, not perfect. A basic 4G or broadband connection that can sustain a video call is generally enough. If your connection is genuinely unreliable, tell us on the first call and we'll talk honestly about whether the format will work well for your situation.
We haven't found a pediatric OT anywhere near us. Is that actually a common problem in Chhattisgarh, or are we missing something?
It's a genuine and well-recognised gap - Chhattisgarh has limited local availability of pediatric occupational therapy specialists, and Raipur families searching locally often come up empty. Online consultation exists specifically to close gaps like this one.
Is online therapy a lesser option compared to what a family in a bigger city gets in person?
It's a different format with real strengths and real limits, not automatically lesser. Most of what a pediatric OT assessment and ongoing therapy involves can be done thoroughly over video; where it genuinely can't, we'll tell you directly rather than pretend otherwise.
How do we start?
Book a consultation and we'll begin with an honest assessment of your child's needs and what's realistic for your family.
